Pomelos are the largest citrus fruit in the world - they can grow as large as volleyballs. Their flavor is complex with a hint of jasmine and lime. They tend to be sweeter than grapefruit and have a slight almond aftertaste. The flavor of a pomelo is generally a sweeter, milder version of a grapefruit. As opposed to eating it like a grapefruit though (with a spoon), it is more often peeled and segmented, after which it can be added to fruit salads or savory salads as well. The peel, although considered inedible, can be used to make marmalade.
