Oregano is often referred to as "the pizza herb," and is one of the most widely-used and popular herbs in the world. Oregano is often confused with the herb, margoram, as they tend to both have a similar appearance, along with a similar flavor, although marjoram tends to be milder and sweeter. The leaves of marjoram tend to have a slightly gray hue to them, which helps to visually distinguish the two herbs.
