Golden Delicious Apples
Mild, sweet and crisp, the Golden Delicious have a pale flesh that is prone to bruises, so they should be handled with care. The Golden delicious is excellent for making salads and apple sauce, since it does not brown easily. Not related to the Red Delicious - this is an excellent all purpose apple - great for eating out of hand, salads and sauces. Good to use in pies and baking and good for freezing as well. In salads and other dishes, their flesh stays white longer than other apples.
