Cherry Tomatoes

Like all tomatoes, cherry tomatoes dislike a chill. Keep tomatoes at room temperature for the best flavor and to avoid the mealy texture that can result from putting them in the refrigerator. Good-quality cherry tomatoes will be firm and smooth-skinned. Tomatoes that are partially green will ripen if left at room temperature. Avoid product that is too soft, wrinkled or that has broken skin. Cherry tomatoes with a green blush will ripen, but avoid product with blotchy green or brown areas. Cherry tomatoes are great in salads.
